ABOUT SAMARRA SAMONE
Samarra Samone Hill-Urquhart is an Arkansas native. She was born and raised in Little Rock where her love for music developed its roots. Although, she stands firm in having her own uniquely distinct sound, she finds inspiration in the music of artists such as Lauryn Hill, Brandy, H.E.R, and Kierra Sheard to name a few. Samarra Samone is versatile and thinks beyond the box.
Samarra Samone’s vision is to creatively use her gift to share her story and her love for God. When it comes to motivation, Samarra looks to her family and those who have supported her journey through life. Her overall goal as an artist is to inspire others to heal from past/present hurt, to grow and to become better.

Samarra Samone was always a singer, but her journey has led her to songwriting for major and independent artists in the industry. She has written songs with Marques Houston, J. Boog (B2K), Earanequa, and Chrissy to name a few. In 2020, her first single placement as a songwriter ("Relax" by Chrissy) charted top 10 on R&B Billboard.
LOOKING TO THE FUTURE
Samarra Samone has her sights set on growing and learning to become the best at her art. While continuing to build her brand and create for her supporters, she hopes to convey a positive message of healing, hope, and overcoming life's challenges with the help of God. She will be releasing more music, visuals, and soon preparing for performance shows and touring!
